About Home Notes

Ledger & Nest Co. is a small shop that makes printable planners and spreadsheets for homeowners, built to work in Google Sheets and Excel.

Home Notes is our blog. We write plain checklists and how-to guides for new homeowners, seasonal maintenance and first renovation projects. Our guides are based on research and common homeowner guidance, not hands-on product testing, and we say so in each post.

Safety first

Some home jobs are not DIY. Anything with gas, work inside the electrical panel or new wiring, roof work, and plumbing inside walls or under floors is a job for a licensed or qualified pro. Our posts point this out wherever it comes up.

How we make money

We sell our own planners in our shop. Some posts also contain affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. See our Affiliate Disclosure.

How we write

Our posts and designs are written and designed by us with the help of AI tools, and every post is checked before it goes up.
